Is your house or building cold, drafty, or
uncomfortable? Do you have high energy bills? Ice dams? Peeling paint? Excessive
dust? Addressing these types of home problems can make your home more
comfortable, and at the same time improve its energy efficiency — saving you
money on utility bills and helping to protect the environment too.
An energy audit is the first step in making your
home more efficient. An audit will help you assess how much energy your home
uses and evaluate what improvements need to be made to increase the buildings
efficiency.
During the audit your Free Energy consultant will
go through a series of calibrated tests, visual inspections, depressurization
tests and even thermographic scans when applicable. Throughout the audit your
energy consultant will review the results of your homes analysis, discuss the
recommended improvements and assess the available tax incentives for your
project.
The audit will establish a benchmark of your homes
performance and provide the required guidance for moving forward. We will
highlight the inefficiencies found and work with you to prioritize the
recommended improvements.
Our audit service usually takes 3 – 4 hours to
complete. Customers can expect a detailed analysis report within 7 days after
testing. Your energy consultant will also provide an itemized scope of work for
the recommended improvements.
